Shankar foundation trust

Established in 2021 and led by Dr. Vijay Shanker Maurya, the Shanker Foundation Trust is a multi-faceted NGO in Ayodhya dedicated to social welfare, community support, and the promotion of local culture. It operates with a vision to restore dignity and livelihood to underserved communities through a blend of charitable initiatives and hospitality services.

• Social & Humanitarian Programs: The trust is actively involved in providing free food and clothing to the poor, organizing free health camps, and leading environmental protection initiatives. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they were notably active in rescue programs and honoring frontline warriors.
• Empowerment & Education: A core focus of the organization is women’s empowerment and the promotion of education for underprivileged children. This includes awarding scholarships to meritorious students, distributing school supplies, and conducting talent ceremonies like the Savitri Bai Phule Janmotsava.
• Shanker Homestay & Tourism: To fund its charitable campaigns, the trust operates "Shanker Homestay," located near Saket P.G. College. The homestay provides a "home away from home" environment for travelers, with all proceeds being donated back to the foundation's missions.
• Cultural & Religious Services: Reflecting the spirit of Ayodhya, the trust organizes "Ayodhya Darshan" tours for visitors and works toward the development of Hindu culture by arranging lodging and food for pilgrims coming from across the country.

The foundation is based in the Ranopali area of Ayodhya, specifically at Raghav Bihar Colony near Mamta Lawn. Its proximity to the Ayodhya Dham Railway Station (1.5 km) and the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple (1.5 km) makes it a central hub for its various outreach and hospitality activities.
